Handy Calculations
Just enter your quilt size in inches.
Some Facts to Remember…
Make sure your quilt top is flat. Flared, rippled borders or any fullness in the quilt cannot be quilted out. Any fullness will cause pleats and puckers and does not make for a nice looking quilt.
Quilt top and back should be square. It will not roll properly onto the machine if this is not squared up. Backing should be at least 3 inches larger all the way around. Whenever possible seam backing with the seam horizontal. This makes rolling it on a lot easier and therefore, the chance of puckers will be minimized.
The top and back of the quilt should be pressed. Proper pressing during construction make a lot nicer quilting especially on custom work.
Clip all threads. Unclipped threads on the surface can get caught in the foot and threads underneath can show through.
Mark the top of the quilt so that there is no question. This makes a big difference on some of the quilting designs.
Your quilt will be trimmed down, leaving about 1” all the way around. If you do not want it trimmed down, please indicate at time order is placed.

You have probably spent many hours piecing your quilt top. Why not let a professional quilt it? Machine Quilting is perfectly acceptable. As someone once said, “A quilt is not a quilt until it is quilted.”
Choose from many edge to edge patterns or I can customize your quilt.
Each quilt I receive is treated as an individual. The best consideration of threads and design will be given to each quilt. I use all cotton threads unless otherwise discussed. I also have a wide variety of variegated threads available.
